Join us for a fun overnight trip to Georgetown, SC which includes transportation, hotel with a free HOT breakfast. Rooms are double occupancy with two beds. Hotel is Hampton Inn in Georgetown. Fee also includes admission to Hopsewee Plantation and Shell Island Boat Tour.
YOU MUST HAVE A ROOMMATE. TWO PEOPLE TO A ROOM.
We will leave on Tuesday, September 16th at 8am. We will stop for bathroom breaks as needed. We will have lunch at the River Oak Cottage Team Room at the Hopsewee Plantation, and then tour the plantation. We will then explore Front Street and the Waterfront area of Georgetown.
Tuesday night we will go together as a group for dinner somewhere local. Wednesday we will go on a 4 hour tour to Shell Island where we will learn the history of the area and pick shells on Shell Island.
About the boat tour: "Visit an unspoiled barrier island. Who knows what Mother Nature has in store? A lighthouse, eagles, dolphin, maybe even a turtle. You will have one and a half hours to leisurely stroll an unspoiled beach, accessible only by boat. Peace and quiet galore! The Lowcountry Plantation Tour Boat is a safe and comfortable 56-foot pontoon boat offering shaded deck seating and clean modern restrooms." After the tour, we will head back to BSL.
REGISTRATION OPENS July 9th, 2025. Residents sign up 7/9/25. Non-residents may sign up Thursday July 10th.
$100 Deposit by August 4th. Trip must be paid off by August 29th 2025.
